As pointed out earlier, some of the qualifying has been more exciting than the races - usually when several cars are completely obliterated -

However, it wasn't smart enought to switch over to BBC2.
Also, my recording of Have I Got A Bit More News For You on BBC2 has correctly shifted from 21:30 to 21:45.Comment
