Incredible that they had no contingency for this scenario.

The contingency was use the Q1 grid, then they realised that fuel loads etc. would be a problem. As the championship may be decided this weekend they'd rather avoid it dragging on through the courts. I assume this won't happen next year when there is no refuelling.

Bet the folks in Abu Dhabi are celebrating as it looks like it will down to the final race.

Mind you, it isn't over for Button yet as Barrichello seems incapable of scoring more than a point or two more than Button.
