They're selling 12.5 kg bars. At least 1/4 million pounds a piece at today's prices.

Hmm, I'll hand the gold over to my associate, then load the big sports bag with a heavy substitute and then claim the theft on my insurance. That way I get the payout and the gold.Originally posted by TroubleAtMill View PostI'll be letting my Russian friends to be on the lookout for someone with a big sports bag then...

The only puzzle is what would be a suitable substitute. I know - plutonium. ...erm can you give me the contact details of your Russian friends.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

Harrods won't sell to a company.
If I buy it myself, then sell to the company are there any special rules I have to apply (as an individual not a trader)?
Does anybody know where to look as google isn't immediately helpful (anybody suggesting majestic can go to the back of the class)?"See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment

Christ, do you think you will be getting a good deal buying gold bars from Harrod's?

If you really want to hold physical gold (and risk someone breaking in and killing you to rob it from you).

I expect it to be competitive. I doubt the premiums are significantly different from either of the retailers I know about (ATS Bullion & City Forex).Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostChrist, do you think you will be getting a good deal buying gold bars from Harrod's?
