In theory, if every item in the shops was RFID tagged, or if you could buy tags and tag RFID perishables, and then if you had a sort of RFID WI-FI gizmo in the house, and could "do a scan", then see on screen your inventory, and then tick the items you want against a schedule, then yes, you could auto arrange deliveries so you wouldn't run out.Cailin posted : I'd like it if they could just deliver what I want, when I want.. you know.. just predict when I need it? It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

It doesn't really save you much compared to normal online grocery shopping, which will automatically remember items you buy regularly and generate an auto list or some such fairly simple algorithm. Nobody is going to let the fridge order shopping without manually checking the list first.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

I've stopped using my nectar card. The buggers flagged up pork pies and whisky as our "favourite items".
Mrs PRC still doesn't believe me when I claim it's all just suggestive marketing.

If its anything like Tesco online shopping they just try to push what they've been paid to, so I find My Favourites shopping list littered with stuff I never buy (like sticky buns and chocolateOriginally posted by PRC1964 View PostI've stopped using my nectar card.
