There's a good stock of synthetic oil at my local motor factors. Why can't they all switch to synthetic oil?

Because the overwhelming majority of it is made from good old fashioned dinosaur type oil and gas.

You can make petrol out of CO2 and sunlight.

          Simples.

Who needs oil, we just need more CO2 and a sunny day.

Indeed, the only oil that can be used in my motor is this one.

How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
