Funnily enough I reckon I've been to almost every pub mentioned here for a lunchtime beer ...

I go to one near me now - old fountain near old street, reasonable price, carpet that's been there for years - mainly blokes (Not the young trendy kind) with a scattering of fat birds and omelet and chips for lunch.

I'll be there in 22 minutes or so ...

I used to go there when I worked up that way.

Is the Porters Lodge still open?

That was always good for a laugh.

'ing 'ell - that is a name from the dim and distant past! I used to go in there over 20 years ago. Come to think of it, I went past there over a year ago and the place looked like it had been shut down for ages.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Kin hell. It was mobbed - more than twice as busy as I've ever seen it.

Did one of you tell spartacus I was going (I know I never told myself).
