We didnt have Pogle jnr in bed with us for the first year, then we spent the next 6 years trying to get her out, but to be honest, what's wrong with you all sleeping together?
That was the worst thing we ever did with D junior, letting him sleep in the same bed as us. He was a real mover and shaker and had this thing about holding your ear while asleep. I hardly got a good nights sleep for the 2-3 years we did that. It caused arguments and what not. Lucky he'll be 18 next week so just waiting for him to bring young schoolgirls round so I can letch
“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”
To be honest I thought it was bloody hard work for the first 12 months or so with the first daughter. Recently had a second daughter and am finding this one loads esasier, mostly because the missus does nearly all of it .
WHS.
If you are working ( or not ! ) then sleep in the spare room and leave it to the fulltime mother. I nearly killed myself driving through a red light on no sleep with baby No 1, for baby No 2 I slept soundly at the other side of the house.
Yes it does settle down after a few months then the teething starts, the boots herbal powders are good for that. They're more fun when the words start to string together.
I couldn't help but laugh yesterday when I got out the shower as I was confronted by my 22 month old girl staring and pointing between my legs saying "daddy's got a tale".
Did you correct her spelling?
We don't have to save the world. The world is big enough to look after itself. What we have to be concerned about is whether or not the world we live in will be capable of sustaining us in it.

Our Baby is 3 weeks old tomorrow. I havent slept for longer than 3 hours since he was born. Other parents - Please tell me it gets better (and very soon) im falling asleep at my desk.
3 weeks? you still have a way to go before it eases off i'm afraid. all babies are different but i think 2 months in is when you should start to see longer sleep patterns.
if the crying is persistent through the day you may well have other issues to deal with. the local health resources should be round frequently to advise. is baby putting on weight?
it will get better though. much, much better. stick at it. get a decent schedule. look out for depression. ask for help.
he is crying during the day a lot but is a very healthy weight, 10 on apgar, no issues at all highlighted with health visitor. I think we've just gotta understand he is only 3 weeks old and this is all to be expected.
It will get better.............just in time for teething, then there's flu, cold's (kids only cough at night believe me) etc...
My little un is 8 weeks old and is waking twice a night, my 6 year old daughter waited 2 years to sleep through and my 8 year old son decided to wait 4 years before he had a goood nights sleep! So they are all differerent bless 'em
Who has time? Who has time? But then if we do not ever take time, how can we ever have time?

just didnt think it would be this much hard work!
maybe he's hungry then!
it is ****ing hard work. but it does get better.
remember too - it's not just baby that is learning - you will get better.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

My first daughter slept through the night after the first thirteen months, so if your experience is similar, then you haven't got too long to go yet...
