I know that the indexing is distributed, but anybody can get people to pipe in a load of data. Getting that data into the usable form that MajesticSEO provides is a different matter. AtW has achieved an Epic Win, and to deny it is merely churlish.

Try reading some of the interviews he's given to online publications aimed at his target market. He's a well-respected figure in the industry, and many people value the service provided by SKA.

If you think he's trying to replace Google, you're labouring under a misapprehension. However, having an index on the scale of Google's makes him a serious player in his chosen market.
