I have a mate at Google who's trying to get me one, and am registered but nothing so far.

If I can issue invites when I (finally) get into the system I'll share here.

Have you watched the video? Seem more than a beefed IM system to me. Much potential. Could shift user expectations to real time within 18 months IMHO.
This proves I live in a cave as it's the first I have heard of this.

RH - do yo have a linky to the video please.

Well, it lets Google look at even more of your thoughts and communications (and store it for 35 years and give it to any government that asks for it).

Not necessarily. It's open source and can be federated. You could take the whole thing in-house and never point to their servers if your heart desireth it.

Although, to be fair, 99.9999999999999% of the population won't, so your point still stands.

Not yet. Looks like there's a biiiiiiig queue, even with those in the official invitation system. But I'll post here if I do get anything.

I may be wrong but Google Wave refers to their own acknowledgement that they are no longer the big player in the search engine market.

They have been superseded by SKA.

SKA has now become self aware and is using all the spare bandwidth not being used for youpron downloads in bedsits right across the greater Birmingham area. It's sole aim to become the definitive database of websites that provide free links to pictures of ladies with their bakery goods on display. I believe it calls them winklinks or something similar.

But like I mentioned, I may be wrong.

                    Google Shmoogle!

I'm growing to dislike Google more and more everyday.

They are just a hugely successful bullshyt marketing firm. Their 'product' is you and me. They are 'selling' us (and our clicks) to their customers.

I am dismayed by the naive chumps that think boosting Google is somehow hurting "the man".

Google has not even sorted out google finance yet. Everytime I use it it hangs and I have to kill the process.
I hope AtW proves a serious competition to them
