You could (with much debate) turn the thing on its head and say that it is morally WRONG to pay tax. Because tax money is used to fund the armed services who go around killing people in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Those who fail to pay the correct amount of tax not only flout their legal duties, but they also renege on their moral obligations to society.
Such is the emotive message due today from Stephen Timms, financial secretary to the Treasury, who will address tax experts on the need to end avoidance and evasion.
He is suggesting we arrange our finances so that we pay as much tax as possible. I'll start by taking up smoking.Comment

But don't stop there. People who drive below the speed limit are just low-life speeding-fine avoiders. Pedal to the metal lads, it's all in the national interest.Originally posted by Doggy Styles View PostHe is suggesting we arrange our finances so that we pay as much tax as possible. What's "UnPC" about that?Originally posted by Addanc View Post<UnPCMode>
Bit like the kettle calling the pan black bottom.

Back in the days when the majority people cooked over a fire in their wattle-and-daub dwelling, the pot and the kettle would be as black as each other due to soot; hence the saying.Comment
