I must admit that during my time contracting I've never had a problem with bullying of the kind you folks have talked about in this thread, but then I'm not the kind of bloke to take tulip from others anyway. I'll be damned if I'd take it from some jumped up bankers or managers who have no idea what its like to be threatened by real men.

Don't. Minestrone's hit the nail on the head. Go in on Monday, and act as though you're the happiest bunny in the world. If you quit you lose.Originally posted by suityou01 View PostI QuitComment

Couldn't you tolerate a few more days and quit if knobhead doesn't get the boot or another contract? You know whether you can - I don't.

No offence but thats a bit soft.Originally posted by suityou01 View PostRight you are. Had a good few beers today to rival the beer consumption in my teens, but so pumped up on adrenalin I am powering through.

PM (who is a contactor btw - just to set the record straight) had his interview today and got a favourable response. He is due to have a phone interview on Monday (weird, but they are in Munich)

Suityou02 is pissed off with me and wants me to quit. She has made this extremely clear. Our warchest is depleted as a result of our house move this year, and I feel I cannot bail.

The system architect today confided in me that his team thought the PM was a cock, and couldn't believe I hadn't bailed already.

I am drinking heavily just to get through, and don't know how much longer I can keep up this facade.

Now it is a developer that is going down in flames.
Go back in on Monday - what have you got to lose?
Walk in and go over everyones head - see the most powerful manager you can and explain whats going on - you've got nothing to lose.Hard Brexit now!

Don't know tbh. Pretty low. I have been pm'd so the cavalry is there, that is what CUK is for. I am grateful to the PM'er. When we are sober we can chat.Originally posted by Zippy View PostI actually meant - have you made up your mind?

I think I could bunker down and tolerate a few more days, I have got by so far, but I am so beaten down, and I have had a breakdown before. I am not getting any younger and suityou02 is concerned. I think I could tough it out, but unless things change then another breakdown is a risk. The thing is, you never see the breakdown coming. I must admit that I feel similar to when I had the breakdown before, but when it comes, it comes fast and without warning, it's not until you are recovered that you can piece together the fragments of your memory.

[Actually broke down reading this post to suityou02, enough is enough, I think you may not hear too much from suityou01 for a bit]

Sas - he'll need to make sure he can get a good reference and cover story. I'm not sure going to the senior management is the best way of achieving that.Originally posted by sasguru View PostNo offence but thats a bit soft.

SY01 - Just read your last post.

If you are that close to the edge, you are right to quit. Do think about doing some studying and courses to help deal with difficult situations though.
