FTSE , up 50 points, down 50 points, up 50 points.
I remember when I last saw volatility like this. Is it a bit like a harmonic that gets set up when wind blows through a bridge, a bit like thisKnock first as I might be balancing my chakras.Comment

There's something very similar to that which is applied to the markets. It's called Elliot Wave Theory.
The idea is you need opposite movements before price goes in the right direction.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elliott_wave_principleInteresting. You clearly know your onions. I wonder what the model is for when the world finds out, as Sasguru so eloquently put it, that the UK and US is just one big Ponzi scheme. The swing would be to one of pessimism for quite some time I'll wager. The wave principle posits that collective investor psychology (or crowd psychology) moves from optimism to pessimism and back again.

Yep, could be a repeat of the 1929 crash. It will make Bernie Madoff look like a saint.Originally posted by suityou01 View PostInteresting. You clearly know your onions. I could still be wrong, but the evidence is overwhelming.'Orwell's 1984 was supposed to be a warning, not an instruction manual'. -

Seriously though, it feels to me like things are going to go titsy, but I'd rather have some insight from someone who actually knows.
