what we will see is maybe another week or two of good confidence and then as we run well into the last quarter - the market respond to the pending news.

However we will see a very serious rise post election in the FTSE and a drop also in Gold I would say.

I've never read any commentary which has accurately forecast movements in any market on a consistent basis. The only reliable way to make money is to spend less than you earn, and spread your surplus capital across multiple asset classes i.e. cash, stocks, funds, bonds, property, gold etc. Then sit back and forget about it.

Depends who wins though - If Labour squeak back in (God knows how, but one can never underestimate the stupidity of many voters) the FTSE will sink like an anvil dropped into the sea over the Challenger Deep.

Lets face it there isn't much financial nouse here. House prices can only go up and the BTL market will never crash due to supply and demand was the consensus not so long ago This was when I was being laughed at for suggesting it was largely the easing of the money supply that was driving the demand and it would all end in tears.
