Personally I never say I'm a contractor in fear someone may discover this website and assume the utter drivel and bull$hit posted here may be what I think!!!!

Mostly good. I don't think I've ever been engaged because a project was going well, so folk will assume you are there to fix problems not create them. Just don't come across as a know it all, and all is well.

As for being judged because of the opinons on this board? I don't assume all blokes are knobs just because I've been out with a couple ...

I don't waste time thinking about that really. Envy and or hatred based on ignorance seems to be a national sport for some people - that's their lookout not mine.
