One member of my test team turned up last week reeking of marijuana and saying everyone should relax a bit. I chucked him out. He was crap anyway.

I heard about one lad who had his extension firmly in the bag but when he turned up on the last day of his current gig in a Roller they revoked it.Originally posted by singhr View PostTaking delivery of a Ferrari in customer's car-park - I kid you not
Also a team of four who were taking hour long lunches but only putting down half an hour, and endless coffee breaks (we had wondered why they never answered their phones). Officially done for time sheet fiddling, but the real reason was they were pretty useless.Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.Comment

True, but if you're crap and you know it, it's best to behave yourself.Originally posted by weemster View PostNot bad advice though.

I've seen crap people get many extensions as long as they are punctual and well behaved.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostTrue, but if you're crap and you know it, it's best to behave yourself.Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.Comment

Being utterly crap.
I once worked with an utter numpty, who as well as being an arrogant misogynist was also a born again Cristian and shoved it down peoples throats all day, he also turned up with a 4 foot potted palm and a crate of manuals and notes from his OU course. It was his first contract and he was utterly dire. It took him months to fail to create a report, which I managed in one afternoon. He also managed to piss off every higher manager around with his stupid and pointless requests and meetings and he made the team a laughing stock.
When Cliento co asked what i thought of his work, I said get rid of him - and they did.I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this
