My advice is make sure you get paid in CASH....its what any decent contractor does and avoids all the unecessary problems which can occur if you have to deal with IR35, Customs, IR etc.

The only other thing you should do as a contractor is not create a 'paper trail', this is unecessarily damaging to the environment and results in more trees being cut down...

Yes, I had heard that cash is tax free. That's right isn't it?

What about opting out of employers NI with an off shore composite agency umbrella that's part of the PCG's IR35 scheme? Does that have anything to do with it?

Offshore trusts. This means that if you go offshore for one night per year, you don't have to pay any tax. A mate of mine does it.

And get a big motor. You need a big motor.

Obviously when getting paid in cash remember to charge VAT also, its a special bonus you are entitled to for keeping old banknotes in circulation.

I had heard that if you were in an offshore trust that meant the tax man trusted you to go offshore but that you didn't have to really.

I hear that going for a paddle on Brighton Beach is tantamount to going offshore.

No, the taxman trusts that you don't stash your cash in an offshore tax haven like Jersey, but you do really.

It's best to go in person anyway. You wouldn't parcel it all up and send it by UPS, would you. Specially as a mate told me that UPS went up in flames the other day.

You can hire a big motor while you're over there.

Anyone want to buy some mint? Lovely mint. Box unopened. Unwanted Birthday present. Might be slightly spoilt due to urine.
