    I say lets do it.

I find the Sanctimony bandwagon is full at the moment and totally repulsive.

Like I said, if people really feel that strongly, what are they going to do about it ?

You know, that a tulipe answer.

Patronising & morally judgemental/superior (I have, but I won't tell you what I think but quite happy to criticise you for saying what you think).

What do you suggest people could do to stop this kind of thing happening? Cause apart from becoming a social worker I can't think of to many ways in which it would be possible to do anything about it.

And you're implying in that last statement that if we're not prepared to somehow do something about it, we shouldn't worry about it?

Give up, way to subtle for me. Either that or I'm completely misreading you.

The walls are greased so the offender, placed in this box, cannot escape. The conveyor belt is covered in a thick glasspaper, coated with a mixture of sharp glass granules and salt crystals.

The conveyor is started, moving very slowly, constantly, so the offender can't sit or stand still - if they do they will be (very slowly) sanded down, so to speak. The speakers play audio of our choice - Max Bygraves, genius sadistic touch BTW - at an incredible volume.

I reckon I could sell the TV rights for that. You'd have to mute the TV though.

EDIT: Optional, but you could spray various chemical agents in there, for fun. Pepper spray, tear gas, chilli powder, mustard etc. That would be more interesting after the offender had lost large chunks of skin.

            Or gladiatorial combat?

So I'm being sanctimonious? Just trying to clarify, before I respond.

There's a human rights perspective: allowing the death of prisoners at the hands of other prisoners is almost passive vigilantism and no more or less attractive than any other method.

As I said, "Still morally questionable"...

                    Agreed, I'm afraid.

I've no desire to see any harm coming to the parents of Baby P. There's been enough pain - physical, emotional and mental - already.
