Choose one with 100% Porsche service history and it's a lot of car for £10K.

      Sports car for under £10000

Go for the S2000. It's a design classic and the exceleration is explosive - particularly good for blowing out Audi turbo diesel drivers who don't recognise the car and think they can take you, though you do have to avoid the horrific cloud of smoke they leave when they try to boot it. Production ends this year so they will have rarity value soon.

You'll particularly enjoy being laughed at by 911 drivers for your budget Jap Porsche-alike.
You can lead a fool to wisdom but you can't make him think.

Will mainly be for me at the weekend going to tennis matches or meeting mates to play golf. I guess that rules out the Elise really. I think S2000.
350Z actually has a sticker in the boot showing you how to fit 2 golf bags in!!

          Job done!

How about a 100% British designed and British built sports car?

Makes the Ferrari and Alfa designers look like blind cobblers....

How the hell did we lose our car industry?

Of course, you will be a fake, pretentious cheese-***, but I'm sure that hasn't stopped you before.

If it were me I'd buy this.

Most derisory comments made about MX5's are by people who've never driven one. They're an absolute hoot to drive, especially on twisty roads.

                      Funny isn't it?
Most people on here seem to use a car to validate their inadequate personalities and small cocks rather than buy the most fun car for their needs and budget.
                      Sad really.
Agree the MX-5 was the original classic 2-seater and is still a blast.
It's big brother, the 6 MPS, is the most practical fast family car you can buy for not a lot of money IMHO.
                      Hard Brexit now!
