Certain types of Parrots go into shock and die really quite quickly if they eat just a little bit of Avocado.
It is thought the plant has developed a toxin to specifically stop parrots eating the fruit, but that doesn't explain, or maybe it does, why it is worse for African parrots, when the Avocado comes from South America.Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.
