You've missed the Not Sure option.
Had an infection a few weeks ago with a soar throat/sneezing/feeling tired, but didn't seem so bad so still carried on as normally.
Was it swine flue or just some other infection ? I'm not sure.Comment

Defo had the flu - not sure if it was the piggy variety as Dr said (during a telephone consultation) they'd stopped testing for it and had now moved in to the 'containment phase'I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this

Is it a really bad flue ? or pretty mild ?Comment

I guess it depends on the individual - I have not had any time off sick for 3 years and I was flat on me back for a week (and not in the good wayOriginally posted by Green Mango View PostPogle,

)
I had a temperature of 40 (around 103 in old money) and you remember that really hot weather we had the other week? I was in bed, fully clothed, wrapped in a duvet, clutching a hot water bottle - I was FREEZING .
I think the problem with piggy flu is not it's severity, but just how contagious it is.I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this

Started off with a sore throat a week ago, felt a bit rough on Wednesday night while out, felt nauseous early evening on Thursday while out and decided to rest over the weekend. Thought I was over it but this morning I woke up and felt very weak in my legs and fluey and have taken 4 paracetemol throughout the day, which is a lot more than I would normally take, but I felt particularly weak at 5pm. The paracetemol was extremely effective.
Not sure it's swineflu but I hope it is because once I'm over it I can get on with enjoying the rest of the summer.

Paracetemol is useless. Try a bottle of brandy, to sweat it out.Originally posted by Cyberman View PostStarted off with a sore throat a week ago, felt a bit rough on Wednesday night while out, felt nauseous early evening on Thursday while out and decided to rest over the weekend. I've not really had much of a temperature, but perhaps that will hit me tomorrow. Not much sneezing or cold but a bad throat with lots of phlegm until today when I seem to have moved onto the weakness stage. I did spend about half an hour on and off in the sauna today, so I hope that has helped.
I tend to go for the hot water and rum option if things get really bad.
