Ok lets say I do want to stay at home, but I am a bit skint...
Thats the next problem, GP's are currently being told by the powers that be not to diagnose anyone.... So what if I just have a bloody sniffle? Am I to stay home everyday I have a sneeze or my hayfeever is playing up and i've got the tulips, incase it is swineflu??
Is anyone going to thank me after taking 4 weeks off work for a bit of a cold, bad hayfever and too much curry? I think not.
Also what about the 100's of people I have already came into contact with before realising I had swine flu? The same people I would come into contact with EVERY day regardless if I had swine flu or not....
If you are a travelling sales man, or work in a hospital, then different rules apply imo...
Just to add the icing to the cake, the government and/or NHS dont even know if we should stay at home or not, the advice is changing on a daily basis....Comment

A high temp is a bit of a give away, swine flu doesn't last 4 weeks, nfi wheer you got told GP's are being told not to diagnose anyone (the opposite is probably true), and by definition you staying at home means you come into contact with far less people and are in effect doing your bit in minimising the spread of it.
******* hell, nothing like a good pandemic panic to bring out the idiot in people (The doom merchants and the flippant).Hang on - there is actually a place called Cheddar?? - cailin maith

Nothing I've read says this is the case.
Best avoided, and definitely best stay at home - I don't want the 'choice' forced on me by some misguided fool.Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment
