Did this get commented on yesterday. Presumably BT are going to retrain all their benchies in the resource pool as call centre operatives.

'The company had applied renewed focus on cost-cutting. By next March, it hopes to have slashed 30,000 jobs or one sixth of its 162,000-strong workforce. The plans will slash overheads by £1bn this year'.
