I like to bargain hunt... I like to know I'm getting a little luxury at the best price Plus more left over for shopping, especially in Thailand!!

Holy Tulip was exactly my reaction but it was almost without doubt the single best holiday I've ever had in my entire life.

Admittedly, the first night of our holiday in a room in the Maldives, with palm trees and a beach outside, four-poster bed, rose petals on the covers, we ... put the TV on and watched Discovery Channel.

We spent £15k on our honeymoon, but we were away for a month. It was awesome...

I've done that in some very fine hotels too.

She pointed out that her ideal bloke was Chris Barrie as Rimmer in Red Dwarf at which point I ensured that my voice remained nasal for the duration.

If it's just me going away, I'll jump on a plane with my gear and get off to get the train to eventual location - all in, figure <£1000 / week.

If it were me going with the ex-Mrs M, spent >£5000 for a week in the Maldives.
You pay your Ex to go on holiday with you?
