Well Thanks Brillo ........ but (to be honest) that really doesn't cut it for me!

just doesn't suggest Sarcasm..... although now I come to think of it.. I am not sure what I would want a Sarcastic Smilie to be.......

This gave some good PR to the tank regiments.
It also showed off a very well set up car in an environment where it could shine. Only to make a much bigger point.
He then showed drug dealers and other felons what could happen to their pride and joy should they be caught.
It was a spectacular way to show what HMG can do with seized property from crims.

I do hope the cars owner doesnt take it personally. Jezza could have made a real enemy there.

Surely HMG would be better off selling these confiscated cars and adding funds to public coffers. What a waste of a perfectly good car and public money !!

I don't want to fry your brain, but:

It would probably cost more to run a department selling cars than the money retrieved from said cars.

Would you buy that car? If you knew it had belonged to a gangster who might come looking for it? Would you feel a little agrieved if the police forgot to mention the car you just bought belonged to a gangster who came and asked for it back (politely obviously).
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

If they are that concerned, the IR could re-register the car and dump the old reg. Not so difficult really.
