If the England selectors have any bollocks they'll bring in Sidebottam and Key and drop Bopara and Harmison.

They surely can't stick with the current team.
Makes no difference...two very average teams so anyone could win it (people forget that the Aussies have been pants for most of this series too). Apparently having two equally average teams "makes for entertaining cricket" - not sure I would agree with that.

Heck of an accomplishment from England though - actually making the worst Aussie bowling attack for 20 years look dangerous!

To be fair, they'd won it on the first day.

i think langer summed up the english very well, play well in front but collapse very easily. the fact that vaughan also agreed just goes to show the changes that are needed.

Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

Stop panicking - it's one bad test. England weren't given much chance at the start, so we'd have grabbed 1-1 at this stage with both hands.

Now the panickers want Ramprakash, forgetting that all those runs he's scoring are against second division bowlers, he has a mostly cr@p record for England, and he's nearly 40.

This squad is more or less our best players so, win or lose, let them get on with it.

If he plays, Harmison will do better at the Oval. Sidebottom would have been a better bet at Headingley but we already had two swingers in the team, who'd both got wickets in the previous two tests, so they weren't going to be dropped.

everyone knows the oval favours spinners as the match goes on, youd be stupid not to pick monty.

tipping complete lack of england confidence, bowled out for less than 300 in both innings, aussies to win the ashes.

Very finely balanced series, I'm so glad I've got tickets to the final test.

I'm also so gutted I can't go to the pivotal third day because a family member has decided to get married on the one Saturday in August I said he couldn't.

Anyway, glad to see predictions of an Aussie whitewash were completely unfounded...
