Minestrone,
just curious as to why you would want to buy Aussie Cricket gear? I am only a mild supporter of Cricket, but unlike some other sports, when it comes to Cricket I have no issues with wanting England to win, despite being a proud Scot. I take it you feel otherwise?“The period of the disintegration of the European Union has begun. And the first vessel to have departed is Britain”Comment

I lived in Australia for some time and was very close to emigrating, things just got in the way. I am currently wearing a 1999 ODI Austrlia top which I bought whilst living in Sydney and have a few others in the wardrobe. Even though I have had a season ticket at parkhead for years I have to admit that I am much more intersted in cricket as a sport. I do not really have anything against England as many Scots do, ironically I got my ticket to australia paid by placing 600 quid on England to beat Scotland at hampden at 6/5, I booked my flight 2 days later with the cash. I Jumped in the air when Scholes scored.Originally posted by shaunbhoy View PostMinestrone,

Battling display. A draw will almost seem like a win for England all things considered. Not long now.“The period of the disintegration of the European Union has begun. And the first vessel to have departed is Britain”Comment

Getting coaches to run on with glove changes was a disgrace, still that was England's favourite pitch, they just managed to get a draw and the fans are screaming with joy. I can see them getting mugged next week.Comment

Two clueless captains, two average attacks and a terrible wicket for test match cricket.
How to kill off test cricket....Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - EpicurusComment

Now I know you are on a wind up. NOBODY wanted to play a test match in Cardiff. Not the players (of either side), not the coaches....only the muppets who run the ECB and the bloke who wrote the cheque. Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Er, no it isn't actually. Entertainment over the other 4 days is quite important too otherwise people won't pay to watch.Originally posted by Evil Hangover View PostLast day was great entertainment. That's what it's all about at the end of the day
I was there on day one, and it was an atmosphere-free zone. If I hadn't known better and someone told me it was an ashes test match, I would have thought they were lying. Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
