So where is the campaign to move our accounts away from Lloyds?
Those Total workers got their jobs back when they protested
why don't we arrange a protest march
Jealousy is your enemy.
Those Total workers had sympathy from every other manual worker, particularly those who are old enough to remember the Thatacher years. Those workers are seen has hard working blokes trying to keep their heads above water.
We do not carry the same sympathy. We are seen as greedy. We are seen as over paid typists. We are seen as being part of the problem because we displace permies.
We all drive Porsches and wear a Rolex. Our jobs going to some poor Indian/Rumanian/whoever is justified as they need the money.
We are at the top of this tree, particularly as we do earn quite well. We need to show those further down that what is happening to us is the same as is happing to and will happen to others.
Politicians do not see us as a threat to their careers. Unions see us as the anti christ.
If we withdraw our labour the clients would replace us with imports and nobody would give a tulip.
There is no way in this world that you could organise contractors to take an hour off in unison (even if it was lunch), never mind a bigger protest.
Teh PCG might make a difference.
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

Step back, have a think and adjust my own own attitude from time to time
This is still a cause worth fighting. THere are still a significant proportion of us in jobs, but we are still in danger of losing our own jobs or certainly having our salraies halved or more.
I travelled in Indai for a couple of months last year and everywhere you look you see adverts for "Get your MCSE here and training on how to pass UK immigration interviews"
There are 10's of millions of guys out there whose main goal is to move to England, and who can blame them having seen certain sites in India.
Its no longer entry-level positions being taken up by foreign labour. I work for a large consultancy and some fairly senior conuslting positions are being taken up by these people, I can only assume on ICT schemes. You only have to look around the city in London or any tech dominated business park and you can spot the Indians a mile off who haven't been here long. After 3 or 4 years they will claim UK residency and stay here.
My opinion is we must stop the flow in order to keep our level of pay or even our jobs, plus the fact that the UK is over-crowded already.

I've heard of this 2nd hand - a saleman i used to work for in a large consultancy told me about pre-sales technical design being offshored. They did say the work was substandard, and would take weeks to come back, where as using local staff would only take a couple of days, but whatever.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus
my spelling was correct - I was referring to Kemo Sabe's little brother.

Hear hear!
And the place to start must be with the PGC campaign to stamp out abuse of the current rules.
Then - there is an election coming up....
