So what you are saying is that anyone that is given an not guilty verdict is still under suspicion? -
Not enough evidence = the case against you cant be proved!Originally posted by Gonzo View PostI wouldn't be so sure of the UK criminal prosecution system any more.
I was in the jury for one trial in London. After four days of hearing the case, the judge threw out the charges because there was not enough evidence to support them.
These were replaced with a less serious charge which half of the accused immediately pleaded guilty to.

Proven.
We in Scotland have a middle ground with the verdict of "not proven".Comment

I quite like that about the UK criminal justice system, although for efficacy I can see the case for allowing criminals to plea-bargain to unclog the court system but at the same time can see the POV that would argue that this system would deny justice to the less well off.Originally posted by pzz76077 View PostNot enough evidence = the case against you cant be proved!

Some more....
Later that year Jordy filed a complaint against Jackson. Neverland Ranch was searched. Among other things, the book "The Boy, A Photographic Essay" was found, with photographs of nude children. The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

It's from the LAPD report, maybe Jordan who he paid millions to was lying and the other little boy too. And the Judge who expressed "serious and grave concerns" was having a jokeOriginally posted by pzz76077 View PostWho said he did, there was never any evidence to suggest this??
This information could of come from anywhere- some dirty sleaze paparazzi photographer peeping through a window, disgruntled staff, a guess, take your pick...

..still no evidence strong enough to put MJ behind bars.Originally posted by Bagpuss View PostIt's from the LAPD report, maybe Jordan who he paid millions to way lying and the other little boy too. And the Judge who expressed "serious and grave concerns" was having a joke
I would of thought that Jordan or the other kid standing up in court and saying 'he did it to me' would be enough even without a motive or physical evidence. Neither could do this their stories were not credible.
Im for putting fiddlers behind bars as much as anyone, but the case against MJ was not there so noting happened that a court could believe. All it would have taken was a few spoken words from the accusers & they could not bring themselves to do this.
