I didn't forget it. I totally disregarded it. I didn't realise CUK was where the coffin dodgers hung out.

Oh dear. I didn't think I'd need to explain that one.

People that still go to work sometimes don't want to. AndyW is soon to start doing his GCSEs (apparently) so to not go in on a Monday, he needs a letter from his Mum. To make that relevant in the first person for the context of the poll, you need the letter from his Mum.
My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.

That's the point, you having a letter from AndyW's Mum doesn't make sense. Even so 'I got a sick note from AndyW's Mum, Mondays suck!' or similar would make more sense. I also believe it is written 'Andyw' going by a previous discussion.

95% of CUK doesn't make sense to me! Did the expression "I've got a letter from my Mum" not get used when you were at school?

The 'suck' expression is to Merkin for my spleen. And unless aNDYw's Mum is a doctor, shirley she can't issue sick notes?

Not really. I'm beyond caring now!

Yes, but I never had a note from someone else's (AndyW's) Mum!

Sick note is a pretty generic term, used to refer to notes from parents too AFAIK.
