I've been using Avira for years on multiple PC's with no issues and no successfull virus infections. And it's free.

McAfee just make me angry.
Their websh1te is just that - tulipe. I'll bet anyone on here could design it better. I've complained to them about it but it made no difference.
I had a subscription with them. Their software is poxy and used to lock up my computer for 20 minutes or more after boot-up while it f***ed about.
I cleared all their sh1te off, which took ages to find everything because it kept downloading and starting up it's f***ing alerts again. I use free AVG now.
F*** 'em. I need a lie down.Comment

When AVG broke and refused to update itself on any of my networked PCs, I switched to Avast! (someone on here recommended it) and it works fine.I don't mind, as long as there's a bed beneath the stars that shine. I'll be fine.
If you give me a minute, a man's got a limit, I can't get a life if my heart's not in it.Comment

I'm back on to them to ask why my credit card status is still showing active. It looks as if I'll have to download their chat client again...Originally posted by Doggy Styles View PostMcAfee just make me angry.Comment

I had a subscription with McAfee for a few years. Cancelled it this year. No problems.
Most of the free offerings are not free for business use. I use Comodo now.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

I've been using that for the last 12 months or so since I lost my liking for AVG. Avira does have some irritating nag screens in use, but you can get rid of those quite easily.Comment
