What is the definition of paedophile? Any child less than 16? I would guess alot of cases involving boys are where they are aged 13-15 : and in alot of cases they are grateful for the experience. In fact they probably initiated it.

By definition it would have to be pre-puberty ...everything after would be "underage" although the WHO does have its own definition of a child being anyone below year 18

Hilarious - as a matter of interest, are there any acts of wrongdoing not attributable to the type of governement we have? I only ask so that I can regale you with "I told you so" pointers when crime and badness doesn't miraculously stop under the forthcoming Tory government.

Can't think of any cos they are useless. Knifecrime has gone crazy under Labour and premature release of prisoners has not helped their case. Tough on crime and tough on the causes of crime !!

You got to ask yourselves this question : Why does Britain such a small nation in the world have the worlds most prolific serial killer (Harold Shipman) and a vast assortment of famous sickos throughout history i.e. Jack The Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe, Sweeney Todd, Fred & Rose West etc.

Do you think we just got a better media that reports these sick killers whereas other countries keep it low profile or do you think that Britian has something fundamentally wrong in its society that creates these monsters ???

Don't you think "our" view that lots more of this tulip happens in UK might be slightly biased by the fact that "we" are generally consumers of UK based news..... which is pretty UK centric....

Shirley its only when "brits" are (or might be) involved in a News story (or if its particulalry salicious or even serious) that most of our popular media actually bothers to publish.........

I think Gilles de Rais killed more people (children) than Shipman.

I didn't say one was better, why would I say that? I said I find it more disturbing that a woman would do such a thing given the bond between women and children, the natural maturnal instinct, the desire to nurture, hence the reason why mainly women go into child care and the caring professions.

No desire to nurture here, but no desire to hurt either. And 'y'know I wouldn't be surprised that 1 or 2 men do desire to nurture.
