CM was none too impressed either.
Btw, I wouldn't be too surprised if Suralan was dipping his wick!
Also, the program turned into a bloody party political broadcast for the Labour Party!
On which note, what unit of measure should we be using for McBroon as PM?
seconds / minutes / hours / days / weeks / months / years?Comment

I think you need to put it into context
All werent the brightest in the pack - but they each had good skills. This program is about finding people who can be mentored to be successful in Alans company. He aint no fool - and is ruthless as well. But he will invest time and money into them
Yasmina was probably the best of the bad bunch but Id suspect she will do well.
Kate was awfull - she would be a good IT Recruitment Consultant to win and get new business or make the first contact - as guys would like to see her face. But put her into a situation which requires brains - and shed collapse.....lol prob like any other rec agent.
Debra is one that will grow the most form this - as if she learns how to communicate she has alot of potentialComment

Yup. That was Amstrad: Barrow-boy notices in 1970s that people like "separates" stereos, so he gets somebody to press plastic cases that look like separate units sitting together but aren't really, puts cheap sound machine inside, flogs the "systems".Originally posted by gingerjedi View PostJust watched You're hired, according to Alan as long as you get the branding and price right the product can come later.
That sums up everything I despise about marketing people.
Notices that IBM PCs are coming, so gets somebody to make a cheap copy. Makes lots of money. I don't know anybody who bought more than one.
Notices that Bang & Olufsen make quality CD player with doors that slide open by proximity of user's hand. Gets somebody to make cheap copy. Some mugs have heard of Amstrad and its revered leader, think it's a "well-known" make. Doors stop working after a few weeks.
Branding and price right every time. Knows the market, as a barrow-boy should. Quality non-existent. Engineering, what's that?Comment

That is reflected in the fact that most of the apprentice tasks were Sales Oriented.Originally posted by expat View PostYup. As for the "Chocolate" task... FFS! It doesn't matter if it tastes like tulip just so long as the box looks nice and the price is right?Comment

It's easy to knock them as a bad bunch. But I doubt many on here could do better at those tasks than than the top half of those contestants, within the time constraints.Originally posted by Liability View PostI think you need to put it into context

Possible, but what would our motivation be? We all earn more than the "six-figure" sum suralans' offering.Originally posted by Doggy Styles View PostIt's easy to knock them as a bad bunch.
