You beat me to it - I was thinking of doing that gag.How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

So a very generous helping of 'Shoe Pie' for Labour from the people.
However, Gorgon, in his press conference today, insisted that 'people' just wanted him to 'get on with the job'.
How does that work, exactly?

I'm a bit surprised that the Lib Dems have actually got a net loss of councillors as they often benefit from disaffected Labourites.Comment

I wish this was easy to explain, but it's a much like their pretesential meaning of this 'fair' word they bandy about. In it's motif, in NuLiebor speak, it essentially means: those who are not you.Originally posted by bogeyman View PostSo a very generous helping of 'Shoe Pie' for Labour from the people.

You see, you have to be one with the mind set of these people. It's a bit like taking acid and being asked to 'square the circle'. In conscience, your mind rebels, you know that it is fundamentally impossible. Yet they believe such things, as axioms.
I tried, but apologise if that doesn't quite help.Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

Well I think we can say that Labour have had their axioms deeply and forcefully inserted into their fundaments.Originally posted by threaded View PostI wish this was easy to explain, but it's a much like their pretesential meaning of this 'fair' word they bandy about. They have been comprehensively wiped off the map of local British politics.
They now control no councils. Not one. Not even Lancs or Staffordshire. It's all gone.
However, on a brighter note, BBC reports this is a 'bad day for the Tories'.

Well, I thought everyone was coming thick and fast with the jokes today, but we're being challenged by the pythonesque humour of good old aunty beeb.Originally posted by bogeyman View PostWell I think we can say that Labour have had their axioms deeply and forcefully inserted into their fundaments.
