Well, it's kind of an emperor's new clothes thing isn't it? I mean, if Jeremy Clarkson simply said he'd actually organised that custard pie gag himself, or Judy Finnigan said she'd flashed her bra for a bet, or Michael Jackson hung his baby out the window because Stephen Fry phoned him up and said it would be really funny... the fact remains that they look daft. They just do. Don't they?

It's mad because I feel like I'm supposed to have had a sense of humour failure or something, but it's not that I don't find it funny... it's just that it becomes, I dunno, pointless if it was set up. Eminem still looks like a fool, and saying he was "thrilled" [my mum uses that word] that they pulled it off just makes him look even more suckered. To me. Which is funny, I suppose.

I get where you are coming from, I just don't think that even if everyone knows it was a setup, it was pointless. Any publicity is good publicity, especially just prior to a new album release and Eminem is smart enough to take advantage of this.

I wondered if that was the case in my first post on this thread, but that saying is a load of nonsense, only repeated by people who are desperate to keep face when they've been massively shown up.

Eminem's album's been out for two weeks and it's rubbish (it's on Spotify, I've listened to it). It'll still sell by the truckload though, so whatever.

I'm sure you know better than any PR type ...

All the more reason to get publicity, no?

No you've is a contraction of you have, so both of those are fine. You is incorrectly used in that context as far as I can see.
