I wonder how much an hour their salary equates to on average, I wouldn't be in the slightest bit surprised if it's £100+. There's also next to nothing to stop them earning money from other jobs too.Comment

£65K is a pretty measly salary for an MP who has to live in London + constituency.Bored.Comment

I'd be a MP for 65k and have 2 places if I could claim reasonable expenses for the 2nd one. By reasonable I mean the cost of renting somewhere, it's bills etc You know the stuff we are allowed to claim. I think 65k though is too low a salary and it should be more like 85k. But then there are all their other expenses - I'd happily employ my wife on 30k a year to post a few letters etc.Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

Oh what the hell, let's just blame Gordo for everything. YMMV, truth and logic are optional extras.
He did not push for an invite for the Queen when it was his duty as PM to do so. Protocol does not allow the Queen to invite herself. He is an incompetent fool and at least most Labour supporters are gradually realising this after 12 years !!Comment

The major problem — one of the major problems, for there are several — one of the many major problems with governing people is that of whom you get to do it; or rather of who manages to get people to let them do it to them.
To summarize: it is a well known fact that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.
To summarize the summary of the summary: people are a problem. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
