      it being a Franco/Yank gig?
      President Obama trying
      etc etc.
and might have mentioned Sarko and the French, who have an excellent claim to have fcked it up.

Oh what the hell, let's just blame Gordo for everything. YMMV, truth and logic are optional extras.
I suspect, mon ami (no pun intended) that the "blame-everything-on-the-Tories" wasn't your mantra up until '97 then?

In the interests of balance, let's take the UKG blame from Gordon Brown and plant it at the feet of David Milliband. Is that better? He's still a toadying NuLieBore apparatchik.

And yes - m.Sarkozy must shoulder a fair amount of the blame for this, Magyar mongrel that he is.

Also (finally) who would you blame for Her Majesty not being invited?

Obama being seen as the chap to "get her a ticket" is just reinforcing the view of the world that the Americans came in and saved everything again.

Altogether now ... "Team America, **** Yeah! Coming to save, the mother ******* day"

        Mps

Buggars are dropping like 9 pins now, I think many lower level thieving scum will rapidly hand in resignations as their departure will be eclipsed by the corpulent Ms Smith.

This must be one of the biggest parliamentary purges for a while.

I am however not idealistic enough to believe that whoever replaces them will be any better.
There are no evil thoughts except one: the refusal to think

            Not big enough IMO...

I'm thinking more of a hi-jacked 747 being flown into the Houses of Parliament while they're all in the trough voting for a payrise.

Point is they should get a good pay rise - from which they should pay all expenses.
£65K is a pretty measly salary for an MP who has to live in London + constituency.
              Hard Brexit now!

                Bollocks.

If they want to be MPs then they accept the salary for the job.

                  WHS +1

(with the exception of the aircraft being flown into the building, for two reasons: (a) who else is reading this? and (b) architecturally it's a nice building)

The prospect of seeing a number of MPs in Wormwood Scrubs / HMP Brixton warms the cockles of my heart. I've come in for a bit of hassle of late which would've been escaped had there been any honour amongst the political classes - too much to hope for, I am afraid.

Here's an example. A Polish chap comes to London to be a plumber, despite having to have a home in London and another in Poland. Should he be able to claim a salary of >£65K to do it?

I don't think a single MP will go to gaol for this.
