I wouldn't cross the road to see a game of football nowadays.
You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

These people are not football fans. They are hooligans plain and simple.I am not qualified to give the above advice!

In our town the football nights are just bloody awful; busloads of yobs are escorted to the ground by police, roads are closed, local yobs shout abuse at them and vandalize parked cars and the pubs and the town centre in an otherwise very nice town are no-go areas. It’s sad that one the one hand, the footy club actually does it’s best to use it’s wealth to help out the other sports clubs, lending their physio to the rugby club once a week and letting us use their weights room, but on the other hand nobody from the rugby club wants to go and watch the footballers because of all the trouble at games. Besides, you need a special photopass to be allowed to enter the football stadium. I’d actually quite like to go and watch a game, you know to support fellow local sportsmen and all that, but I don’t want the hassle.Originally posted by bogeyman View PostThey are effing morons.

At least they invite you politely to meet Stanley then leave you with an evil-looking scar for the rest of your natural, whereas the Romans just leave you with a peculiar gait

Well yes, that’s what it became when the footy club played play-offs for promotion to the Dutch premier division (they lost and remain in Jupiler league). It’s a shame; I know a few of the players and they’re generally quite a good crowd, not the pumped up egos you read about in the press, but good professional sportsmen, earning a respectable living but no more than that, who feel let down when the ‘fans’ go on the rampage. On the one hand, I saw their disappointment at failing to get promotion, but heaven knows what kind of trouble it would have brought if the Feyenoord neo-Nazis came to town every year.Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View PostIf you will live in a violent 3rd world tribal back water! And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument?
