You mean the SD1? My dad had one of those. It was tulipe. He worked for a big American company that bought a few hundred of them to hand out as company cars; within 6 months they’d returned every single one to Rover and replaced them with Fords. His boss worked out that the lost sales from missing meetings due to breakdowns were more per salesman than the catalog price of the cars.

I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.

The Italians were well ahead of their time, producing the world’s first biodegradable cars back in the 70’s.

The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

The main reason for that was that Agnelli sold various bits of the production line for the Fiat 124 to the russians for the Lada. When the time came for them to cough up they had no foreign reserves so Fiat were paid with Ukranian steel which was surplus to requirements and very low grade. They used it make Fiats and Lancias with.
