True .. But .. and it's a big but ...

last weekend waiting at the gate for a flight home, shared with another flight heading to Moscow I couldn't help but notice - Russians must be the worse dressed nation on earth.

They are beyond bad, it's either completely communist NFI, or too much money and no style gansta bling (if it looks expensive they'll wear it) or in the case of most of the younger women they seem to specialise in the low class hooker look. Every one.

I didn't see one person on that flight who didn't fit into these categories - you could actually see other (non-russian) people sniggering behind hands and giving each the nodding look of WTF are these people wearing.

Absolutely true. There are some russian women who "get it" but the fellas they are trying to attract (oligarchs mostly) seem to lap up the "gaudy" look.

Specifically Russian, chef? Or do you just like the whole Eastern European thing? Went to Prague quite a few years ago and the Czech women are fantastic.

yeah i fully agree, ex gf was lithuanian (therefore ex communist and ex russian), her idea of dressing up to go out for a posh meal or the theatre was a trowel full dark green eyelid powder stuff, bright red lipstick and rosey blusher wearing a short skirt and a "sexy" top with high heeled FM boots

.. it always got a reaction out of me and afterwards with her not having enough time to reapply smudged make up and find the short skirt again she usually ended up wearing something a lot more appropriate and make up free

for accents all eastern european i'd say, but be warned, you might want to check mental stability of those from the ex soviet block, they look good but are mad as cheese
