Actually one of my best mates is seeing (And has a kid with) to a Czech girl, and she's mad as a brush, and pretty much universally disliked by all his mates (My wife can't stand her - which if you know my wife would mean a lot - there's only one other person in the world I know who she doesn't get on with).

Thin it's maybe down to that Eastern European bluntness thing of saying what's on your mind, thing is what's on her mind is pretty much invariably insulting and negative about anything and anyone in this country.
