Lifetime guarantees are like fixed price IT contracts; they come with the qualification that you have to comply with the ‘terms and conditions’; this is usually a document weighing 6 kilograms and including 34,769 clauses with a further 92,684 sub-paragraphs and several appendices. All of these clauses, sub-paragraphs and appendices begin with the words ‘Guarantee will be declared null and void if…’And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Surely you could use the online help rather than carting all the manuals everywhere.

Wouldn't the fact that you are still alive count for something?Originally posted by milanbenes View Postha ha
ok samsonite does it have a life time guarantee ?
what if you no longer have the receipt ?Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.
I preferred version 1!Comment

Call me cynical - but I always think "Lifetime Guarantee" means "It lasts as long as it lasts"......
I must say (also possibly cynically) that when you said POSH I thought you meant Louis Vuitton (sp) or somesuch........Comment

I don't like those LV bags; the pattern makes them look like big turds with worms crawling around on them.Originally posted by Drewster View PostI must say (also possibly cynically) that when you said POSH I thought you meant Louis Vuitton (sp) or somesuch........And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Pondlife,
you got me, the luggage was full of doco
i had an argument with the girl at the business class desk the other week she said my 22kilos of hand luggage was too much - there's nothing worse than having to wait for luggage that's been in the hold
i told her to pretend she did not weigh it, in the end she let me through and said if I get stopped at the boarding it's my fault
Drewster, quite,

Check it in next time you fly, and when you pick it up, tell the airline that they broke it and demand a like-for-like replacement.Originally posted by milanbenes View Postborrowed the mrs's posh luggage to take me stuff in for the weekend working last weekend
looks like I had too much weight on the luggage, because one of the rollerskate wheels on the bottom kind of broke its axel and then it jammed
and now I can see that the rollerskate wheel has been worn down to nothing on one side and of course the axel is broken
can it be fixed ?
guess I should just put the luggage back in the attack and claim innocence
