Not too bad in there. Just assumed they wouldn't be open when I left work (circa 5:30pm)
Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.

Don't know because we don't go there often and not in the evening. I guess you're in either banking or the nuclear power industry?

          Quick get me an accountant.....

Isn't the whole point of the FRS that you don't collect any vat recs (except for large capital purchases). It saves time and usually money.

Can an accountant explain to me WTF the OP is doing asking Sainsburys for a VAT rec for £5 worth of sarnies. It makes no sense.

What were you buying, a laptop? No VAT is charged on food.

I went Nuclear. Someone on here advised going nuclear to ride out the recession.

I thought Barclays had ditched all of their contractors in Radbroke Hall?

I would be delighted if this were the case. It does seem a little strange to still be accounting for VAT if you are FRS. Being a dumb code monkey I just do what the accountant tells me to do. Tbf he has been extremely helpful and spot on with everything I have ever asked of him.

That's the whole point of the FRS, you don't care about VAT or VAT receipts (except for capital items over £2K I think).

Yes, I did. Feel free to PM with the inside track on when the new build work is kicking off, I want a slice of that! I'm in the industry but not the new build (yet).
