buy her a hat or some shoes and tell her you're going.

I'll get her a t-shirt from the gig instead
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

Last real gig I saw was Steely Dan at the Hammersmith Odeon in July '07. Every note oozed class.

I haven't been to a live gig in years (apart from the odd pub band..)

I must look up what's on in Nottingham and London and get tickets.

I must admit I've been put off by the stories of touts buying them up the minute they appear and selling them on at outrageous prices...

Joe Bonamassa last night at the Sage - Voodoo, you gotta go man!

3rd time I've seen him and the best!

And anyone in the North East who hasn't been to the Sage, I can thoroughly recommend it!

Accoustically perfect is what they advertise and it is!

Strange looking building (looks like a silver slug on the side of the Tyne for anyone that hasn't seen it).

And they serve a refreshing array of (bottled) real ale

Hmm - one of my friends is in the ragtrade and had a stall at last years Reading festival so I was given a free traders pass to the festival - various bands played all of which were really dire , the main band was Metallica (is that how you spell it?) anyway I left 5 mins after they started - I bumped into a young Metaillica fan who was desperate for a ticket but couldnt afford the 100 quid that the touts wanted - so I gave him my pass for free.

He couldnt believe his luck and ran headlong for the festival - well that was my good turn for the day.

I saw my first gig about then - The Who at the Glasgow Apollo - still one of the best bands Ive even seen, Keith Moon was awesome - bless him.
