I always had you down as someone that believed in reincarnation, and wondered just what you might have done to be sent back as AtW? Were you perhaps Genghis Khan?

I want to come back as a radio-active bogey, with a half life of one of the governments stimulus packages , and live in Gordon Browns nose

I have to say your existance made me question whether reincarnation is possible...

And what if you're wrong? What if there is a deity, but that deity damns people who hold your particular faith to some hellfire?

No doubt...........in much the same naive way you question the existence of the Tooth Fairy and Santa.

How can you say humans are still in an early stage of development? Ignorant yes, childlike, definitely not.

You should swallow that pride, study relegion & give it a chance. Everyone has to taste death, everyone will be judged according to their actions in this temporary life which is full of tests.
This isn't a personal attack on your or your religion, this is aimed at most religions in general.

              You ask:

That is the most arrogant assumption anyone can make. We are an unimportant species squabbling amongst ourselves whilst slowly destroying the very planet that sustains us. If alien life did turn up to have a look, they'd most probably create an intergalactic dangerous monkey act and put us all down.

Religion in it's various incarnations denied:
              • The Earth was round
              • The Earth was not the centre of the universe
              • The Earth rotated around the Sun
              • Evolution
              • The Big bang

Instead religion has taught on various subjects:
              • The Earth is 6000 years old
              • That men have fewer ribs than women
              • The Earth stood still for a day
              • You can destroy city walls with a trumpet
              • Burning bushes talk
              • You can part a sea with a wave of your hand
              • 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish are all you need to feed a crowd
              • It's possible to turn water into wine
              • The immaculate conception
              • Humans never used to die
              • Snakes can talk
              • Noah was 600 years old
              • It's possible to stick a bunch of carnivores and herbivores on a big boat for 150 days and still get the same number of herbivores at the end of it

Which school of thought seems the most plausible?

Your existance is useful in a way that it proves there is no God as no intelligent creator would take responsibility for creating someone like you

                    what about this ?

The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree

That's sheer madness, you've made that up, who'd believe carp like that.
