Who are you going to claim the money from? We're not talking about tax deductible expenses from your own company here... we're talking about fully expensed from your own country!!

So surely, as I am taking it from my company, from money that I have earned, I have even more right to exploit these new rules that I am about to write !!

I beleive the official line is that they need more privacy than a hotel would be able to provide.

Actually, there's a Premier Inn in County Hall, about five minutes walk from Parliament over Westminster Bridge, at under £120/night during the week. If it's good enough for me, it should be more than good enough for an MP

Plus tax free money to hire family members as "assistants", junkets paid for as part of working groups and research with corporates, Directorships and free entry into major events.

Not forgetting being able to fully equip a home at the tax payers expense and keep the proceeds after losing the next election.
