I remember during the last protest when they stormed the ABN Amro building in Bishopsgate.

There was a fight between traders and anarchists as traders tried to kick anarchists down the big escalator and stop them getting onto the floor.

I think this time though, the anarchists capture the mood of many p*ssed of people whose children will carry the debt (£20,000 per head) of the bank bailouts.

May be best to get into work early before the buildings go into lockdown mode, I think this protest could be a biggy.
Remember the Brixton riots? I think youre right.

Also, dressing down may mean you're a target of the riot police rather than protesters. Last time, my wife had a batallion of Riot police run past her and she had to dive for cover.

We've been told to work from home on Apr 1st & 2nd if possible, a few of the central London buildings are no-go areas, and if we have to come in, to do so in casual dress.

I'll be watching it on TV.

I seem to recall one of your central office buildings is quite close to clientco?

I hope they attack your building instead of mine!

Jus a few doors down, in fact. I'll put up a sign on the door saying: clientco has moved - new premises 5 doors down at BPclientco, have a nice day.

You do likewise. That'll fox the little buggers. We'll watch from the pub across the road.

I hear the protestors have decided to sport pinstripes and brollys to confuise the police - so if you are casually dressed you may well be tartgeted - maybe better to get the old bowler out.

You cant be too careful these days ...

I always remember LogicaCMG's advice on 7/7 was an email to "better close the blinds then" that was circulated at about midday. Senior management then praised themselves at how well they had handled the crisis (no one knew what the **** was going on) and refused to work in London the next day but said it was OK and completely safe for techies.

It was like the spirit of World War One, with General Melchett and Captain Darling leading from behind.

              Anyway, know your enemy:

Some kind of radiowaves ? I suspect it was Radio 4 Gardening Hour - that always has a somewhat pacifying effect.

Isn't there some big meeting in France as well around that time? I know that in early April they've put back in place pre-Schengen agreements in that going between Germany and France you will have to show your passports at border controls for a couple of days.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

You will not when you see then up close, they were brutal little thugs when they came to Scotland and upon travelling to Edinburgh they were out to get Bank staff dressed in suits. There was plenty of trouble on the trains going to Edinburgh with the crusties having a go with people in suits. Good few Glaswegian people with jobs in banks had a few pops at the clowns.
                      True story -

One of my friends on spotting a G8 protestor trying to dig up a cobble stone(??) in St Andrews square
Mate - " where you from pal? You fae Embra?
Trusty Crustie- No < insert somewhere in Englandshire>
Mate - Well **** off back there and dig up your own town afore I break your jaw"
                      TC - scuttles off....

Wasn't just the soapdodgers fighting back Minestrone
