I agree that the best car for 6k is a car that leverages synergies among the flattening streamlines for the vision of the transport cost-benefits but that can as much actualise the client centered necessities of today's rightsizing.Originally posted by sasguru View PostNot everyone is a low-level detail-oriented junior geeky programmer like you, isn't it?

Would recommend the Audi A4. Not brand you mind, but you should get a decent 52-54 plate for that price. Good motors, reliable and prestige tooComment

Doesn't the A4 use the engine that goes into the Skoda?
Better off buying the Skoda, a couple of years newer without the "added value"Comment

Subaru Forester, goes like stink, reasonably roomy and favored by lesbians and bank robbers.Politicians are wonderfull people, as long as they stay away from things they don't understand, like working for a living!Comment

The Passat is an A4 stretched by 2" and the Superb is an A4 stretched by 6". The Superb 1.9TDi Elegance probably has a better level of trim than the equivalent A4 and you'll get one younger for the same money. Massively bigger in the back seats. I used to drive Audis, 80's and A4's, before I started buying Skodas. HTH.Originally posted by Foxy Moron View PostDoesn't the A4 use the engine that goes into the Skoda?

Appreciated engines are the same for Skoda, VW etc. Suprisingly I used to have a skoda company car, the same size as the VW Passat. You just dont get the refinement IMO.
For example the central locking as not as good. I know they are minor things but you can see the build quality with the Audis compared to VW and Skoda.
It's like buying a SAAB (a vauxhall vectra underneath). No thanks!!!Comment

What sort of mileage are you going to do in it? If it's going to be low, you could probably pick up a bargain with something which costs that bit extra to run.
If you are looking at a higher mileage, I'd be looking at a Jap car for the reliability.Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.Comment

The What Car? Used Car of the Year 2009 small family car award went to the 2006 "06" registered five-door Ford Focus selling for around £6,400.Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment
