As I pointed out earlier - that's not certain.

Firstly, Massa's extra victory was one that was handed to him by the Stewards - a thoroughly undeserved win that belonged to either Hamilton or Raikonnen - the latter crashing out.

It was a harsh penalty at the time, but under the new rules race victories are far more valuable so the penalty would have been even more extreme. I wonder if the stewards would have found another way to penalise him (grid penalty).

Secondly, if Hamilton absolutely had to get another win, maybe they would have pushed harder for one when they had previously played the points game (Singapore etc.).

The point being (as I made earlier) is that you can't replay the same game with different rules.

As I said, and you agree, he would have won.

The winning team should be calculated on points thus:

Total chest size of models who give out free fags
        +
Thousands of packets of fags given out
        +
100 * number of drivers killed
        +
25 * number of drivers scarred by burns for life
        +
15 * number of pit crew run down or set on fire
        +
10 * number of fans killed or hospitalised by cars entering the crowd
        +
5 * number of driver injuries
        +
5 * number of car fires
        +
        number of crashes involved in
        -
number of litres of fuel burned.

That way it will be interesting, give the fans what they want and yet help save the planet.

        Next.

As you know full well (but are baiting Centurian) that's a meaningless argument as, if the new rules had been in effect last season, each race may well have been different.

Not only that, but each race may well have been different, had a different result, and had a different effect. something

We might get a few fun "tulip or bust" Kamakazee moves on the last couple of laps if 1st and 2nd are close. Nowt to lose if 2nd place is worth nothing!
The Mods stole my post count!

Lol yeah exactly, get a few wins under your belt and then spend the rest of the season crashing into your next revel to stop them getting any wins and anywhere near you in the championship race.
                Sorted!

In fairness to the F1 bods, the rule change has got us all talking about the sport and anticipating the new season. So maybe they arent as daft as we think!
