Nobody is forcing you to ‘passive smoke’. You have a choice whether to visit a place where people are smoking. You are not bound by chains to stand in the same building as smokers, and until you are you have no right to accuse other people of forcing you to ‘passive smoke’.

I know you were refering to pubs, etc. But does that opinion extends to bus shelters? Day in, Day out, smokers impose other "potential" passengers to their ciggies. Why should non-smokers be forced to move away from the smoker? Why shouldn't the smoker go somewhere else to smoke? The needs of the one doesn't outway the needs of the many in this case.

What about smoking around kids (especially babies)? Do you believe that kids and babies have free will to walk away from their parents who insists on smoking in front of them?

No. Bus shelters are public places, owned by the local authority. Or at least they were until they were sold off to companies with wierd sounding names like Arriva and Connexxion. So at least by custom they can be viewed as public places.

Yes, Public House. A public house is a house (a building where people live) which is opened by it's owner as an invitation for the public to enter and imbibe. That does not make it a 'public place', but a private place into which the public are invited.
