Eldest sprog ran into woman at roundabout - classic tale roundabout is clear & she starts to go then stops .. son checking roundabout continues on and runs into back of her.
Max speed 15mph - damage to sons car - smashed headlight assembly (£49.99 and now replaced by moi in 30 mins)
Damage to woman's car (Mondeo) dislodged back bumper and paint scratched. I was going to go round at weekend and offer a replacement fitted by me from eBay ( £50 ish) + cash (£100) for her trouble or £150 to ignore the damage to her 7 year old car either way would save his no-claims.
2 days later got a call saying she making an appointment to see a Doctor as she thought she had whiplash injury.
Looks like sprog will kiss his NCB bonus away - anyone know how much checking insurance company do on 'collision injuries'?

This seems to be becoming a common wheeze now, playing the health + safety claim. I know a few people involved on either side of this. My sister in law was slightly hurt in a prang 18 months ago. She suffered a (very) minor injury and wasn't that bothered about it (being of the 20-years-ago-we-would-have-just-got-on-with-it-stop-being-a-t1t mindset) but was pursuaded to claim it. 18 months later her insurer is still screwing the other side for all they can.
